I wish you knew...

I'm free from your torment,
Your murdering scenes,
The way your voice sounds,
Your deafening screams,
The intoxication,
Fueled by envy,
And despicable hate,
The ends of a relationship,
Wrecked by fate.

Broken smiles,
All cracked with dismay,
And here's me,
Running from the fray.
Through darkness,
The pouring rain,
I plunge with sorrow,
Remembering the person,
I thought I used to know,
All the feelings inside,
Can't let them go,
Can't smile in the rain,
And I know you know.

I won't forget the pain,
You've tortured me,
And hurt me,
A million times through,
But my darling dearest,
I wish you knew..

You've pushed me too far,
We've been down this track before,
It's always me,
Running out that door,
You've caused too much pain,
To EVER take it back,
Way too much pain Dearest,
And not enough slack.
