Once I thought she was okay
Now she’s wasting away
From the inside
To the outside
She just withers to decay
Her reason?
So someone could see
The beauty within
Her outer shell
Beautiful and strong
But on the inside
Just a broken love song

We tried to tell her
She let it go
Starvation is control
Control is tough
Bones are beautiful
When thin isn’t enough
To make some guy see
Who she was
So now I’m dedicating this to her
And she might see
That love
Isn’t what it should be

I know what she means
I’ve thought the same
But when you believe
That this is sane
I start to wonder
What goes through a girl’s head
As she thinks
Who she loves
And what it takes
To be noticed
To be seen
It will take forever
With me

Dear Shandra
Please see
That Riley
Isn’t what he’s cracked up to be
I need you to understand
That the thoughts you think
Don’t belong in your head
Re-think your strategy
Contain your fears
Because some day
Some way...
He will disappear.
