she sings in the rain
she laughs through all her pain
no one sees
the part of her
she hides

one night
she grabbed the pills
from her mother's dresser
swallowed them down
two shots of vodka

she never saw it coming
it hit her like a wave
her one true love came bursting in
she didnt tell him what she had done
he left after a kiss goodnight
not knowing what was going to happen

she cries
she cries
please please dont let me die
not again
not this time
he loves me
he loves me true
please please dont...

she picked up the phone
she called 911
they came too late
she was gone

when her true love heard
what she had done
he slit his wrists
and watched the blood

somewhere in
the skies above
the girl watched down
at what he had done

and she cries
she cries
please please dont let him die
not again
not this time
he means
so much to me
please please dont...
