So much violence
So much hate
People die in violent ways
Just over a parking space
I’ve never seen harder days
Kids be giving moms headaches
So she dumps them in a lake
Babies just be thrown away
Everyday, like they’re waste
Wish I could say that’s all fake
So it won't keep you awake
But it isn't and that wont change
With all this hate, there’s no way
That things will be just ok
We're headed for a sorry fate
If things keep this constant rate
We cause others too much pain
Always have to stand our ground
Can’t just seem to walk away
Have to show what we’re about
Say things you don't mean to say
Once you realize it’s too late
You’ve just lost a friend or mate
Something that can’t be replaced
Many years thrown out in haste
This stuff happens everyday
Dead beat dad that's so cliché
Work for more than penny’s wage
Child support might get paid
You love your kid? Show your face
Ain't no need to feel ashamed
Fathers give their kids their place
Mamas babies need you too
Mother’s love soothes all that’s cruel
But you’d rather play the fool
With those drugs that you do
Make you leave your kid at school
Education's not persued
Wonder why your kid hates you
Always fighting it takes two
Can't save what's already ruined
Best bet, just start over new
Safe to say this world’s screwed
There will always be a feud
Whether its cuz someone’s rude
Or there is no green for food
This scenario is not new
Husband’s wasted acting crude
Chasing his wife from room to room
Found a weapon, it’s a broom
Angry footsteps on the move
As she turns around to shoot
His life ended way too soon
He was only 22
Too much guilt for her kill
As the tears begin to spill
One for every single pill
That has been popped now she’s ill
Homicides and suicides
That stuff affects you and I
People’s heads aren’t screwed on right
Will you make it through the night?
Have a gun? I’m glued to mine
Never know which crew you’ll find
Walking the streets at night
Thrown away, you have no home
Try and make it on your own
But everyday there’s less hope
And you don’t know how to cope
Run the streets, sell that dope
Need the money cuz you’re broke
One wrong move, your name’s on stone
You will have died all alone
But at this point you don’t care
Don’t bitch about what’s not fair
Someone’s got it worse out there
