Misplaced Perfection

Imagine discovering everything you loved was a lie
Would you curse, scream or cry?
If you had to bid farewell to all you knew
And no one ever really told the truth
People died and lives faded
But what you view is completely jaded
You thought you knew them but they were actors
Nothing is as it seems
Everything has been monitored even your dreams
Starting to question who am I?
What's my motivation and where does my path in life lie?
Everyone is just a smiley face on legs
Where's the drama the manifestation?
Reality is tainted with sparkles and cheer
But you can't help but fearing that the end is near
Never made your own mistakes
Never had to question
Nothing ever went wrong
Everyone was happy whistling their own song
But you had none
You have had to regret what you have done
Yet you never had fun
Everything was just a portrait of perfection
But you're a shadow on the sun
Painted porcelain faces
Carrying heavy business cases
But there you are nothing to do
There's no other person quite like you
Stood out from the crowd
Mind as well be an entirely different species
Everything you once knew is gone
Now your an alien to this new place you've stumbled upon
Getting sick of living
Cus theres no winning
Nothing to strive for
Nothing makes sense anymore....
