Is destruction so inevitable
And temptation so irresistable
That we have to die in vane
And burn from acid rain
Or can we turn this around
Can the lost love be found
Or is that just another dead flame
Under the ocean of bricks lane
To keep the light from coming up
And catch what spills from the cup
From which the wealthy drink
And the poor can only think
Of what they can do to get a taste
Cheat, lie, become a disgrace
Just to lead the inevitable race
Well guess what ignorant fuck
I'm here to drop the rock
Under which you'll be stuck
Cuz it's about time
Someone brought you back around
Stepped out of line
And proved, under the brick there's ground.
