Let Go

What's it like to be her?
Does she go out with her buddies to have fun?
Or does she lay in her room and wonder,
What's it like to hold that gun?

That girl is pretty, but isn't very cool,
She's more likely to be rebel,
For she doesn't like to stay in school,
And she somehow always finds a way to get into trouble.

She has many loyal friends,
But she sometimes feel alone.
They feel she has betrayed them,
But really, they are the ones who have left her on her own.

One dark, cold night,
Not so long ago,
Holding that black, heavy handle to her head so tight,
She pulled the trigger, and feeling so free, she finally let go.
