Starburst

Now the star-burst melted us
To liquid perfection in each others arms,
With the moonshine written in our eyes
We made promises we knew we couldn't keep.

So aren't we just out of luck?
Our destiny just wasn't star-crossed,
And the planets revolve around
Our sun the blinded us to the truth.

Really and truly my darling Venus
Our planet was just set to explode,
With the touch of our lips together
Didn't we know then,we couldn't succeed?

With stars written in our eyes
We went into the relationship unfeeling,
Yet we didn't know that we would never
Be able to end with a happy goodbye.

We're like a star burst, the colors whipped to perfection
Of the same kind as wishing upon a falling star,
Our comets met and melded as one with a passing glance
Yet,we had to separate or be destroyed by the Sun.

Starlight,star-bright,baby lets burn together tonight.
