She was sick of the daily smiles
and the nightly tears
putting on a show wasn't her style

Her life looked perfect from the outside in
to anyone that knew her
but perfect is only skin deep and she didn't know where to begin

She knew the right people and had the right look
Unfortunately people don't matter and compliments grow faint
a fairy tale ending from the beginning to the end of the book

From first glance you might think she's got it all
all except well deserved bliss
but take a deeper look to re-think that judgment call

Of course it's just a 17 year old girls story no one ever knew
a little to late for telling
Who could know this girls heart was breaking in two
