Where were you?

Confusion mixed with pain,
is like pouring acid rain.
It eats away at you,
and there's nothing you can do.
So live every moment as if it is your last.
Never look back, never think of the past.
Because life's to short to not have fun.
So forget the past, you can't change what's done.
I am afraid to say I learned these lessons the hard way.
Because when I needed someone to talk to,everyone just walked away.
I am proud to say that I made it through.
But I still have to ask, where were you?
