the fresh cold air softened with snow
caresses your hair over eyes that glow
with a passion their brown depths betray
and love and trust only you can convey

I feel your dear arms circle around me
driving away the ice that surrounds me
melting my heart as I hear your voice
telling me you love me; I'm your choice

your soft breath makes a silent frost
stays but for a second, and then is lost
the flakes lightly dust your nose
and your blushing cheeks, the color of rose

our hands are held in tight embrace
while snow decks the trees in delicate lace
framing us beneath the open skies
where the wind blows in wistful sighs

you smile at me with charm and care
your fingers bury themselves in my loose hair
our faces so close our lips finally touch
I told you this was more than a crush
