A breath

We are here for a breath,
A moment, and then it's gone
While we wait for our destiny,
We stay on this earth in captivity,
With God, we travel on
Yesterday seems far, but I remember it so clear
The moments we had, the friendship we shared
You have your world, and I have mine
Yet, somehow, both worlds still connect
Memories don't fade, we'll never forget
Somehow we'll make new memories
Together, showing the world, each other, ourselves--
That we are not done yet, we've still got out lives to live
Together we tread on, fearless, as friends;
Ready to battle and to defend, to the very end...
When a breath has passed us by
