Not Yet Broken

She's forgetful, imperfect, plain, and jaded
Her hopes for perfection have long since faded

She's filled with insecurities but thankfully she's coping
She may not be the best but she's not broken

What you see isn't nessessarily what you get
So don't assume you really know her just yet

How can you hope to understand with eyes half open?
You might think she's a failure but she's not broken

Bright eyes and a cheerful smile
While inside, her pain runs wild

She keeps agonizing over words left unspoken
She's trapped inside yet she's still not broken

Thousands of insults and so little praise
All expectations have formed a stiffling haze

Words cut deep even if you're joking
Don't try to fix her, because she's not broken
