it accordingly.

Weeping
Enveloped
The home-
Funeral home.

Seven Years
Old.
Headline
In a periodical.

"Young Barren County Boy Ejected from Moving Truck”

Captured moment of
A rosy cheeked-
Breathing
Child…
In the
Obituaries,
Seven years
Young.

A
Mother,
A
Father.
Two
Step-families.

“Barren County Man Indicted on Drug Charges in Warren County”

Drug paraphernalia-
Drunk driving.
Step-mother’s there.
Step-mother’s not there.
Simply, a car accident.
The moral-
Stories
Do not
Matter.

Lies,
Rumors,
Four
Families-
Torn
To
Pieces.

These
Hearts
Yearn
Ache
For
That blonde spiked hair
And blue eyes
To sing,
Run,
And keep his promise
To marry that lil’ girl,
Next door.

“Death of Seven-Year Old Barren County Boy still under Investigation by
KSP”

Depression-
Drenched
The Wretched
Ground.

An unspoken
Curse.
Wafting through
The dreary day.

Doing my own
Investigation of
The burial
Of my
Cousin.
