more than the norm
tucked away in quiet darkness
safe and warm.
Tender touches and soft kisses,
love in the candle light
hold me close all through the night,
don't ever let me go.
I want more than I had before
more than I'll ever need.
From one who won't abandon me
and leave my heart to bleed.
I felt the pain of love just once
and trust me once was plenty.
So spare me your foolish pride,
your ego and insecurity.
But don't leave me here with nothing,
if I cannot get all this.
For I can't take being lonely
with so much emptiness.
So give to me what you have,
and in turn I'll give you mine.
Together we will both have more,
we'll get along just fine...
