His Loving Light Turned To Dark

You bring me light to start my day
It has fulfilled me in every way
You bring me light it touches my soul
Even though now it’s dim and loosing its glow
It still fills my heart I want you to know
I know in a matter of moments we’ll have to part
Your loving light will forever be dark

That’s what I’m thinking
As I cradle your head
As you lay dieing in this hospital bed
My mind taking flight thinking
Of all our daily beginnings
The endings of our daily light
How you loved me with passions hunger
Many times through out the night

Though it’s been a short time I’ve
Been blessed living in your loving light
I know deep inside no one could of
Loved me more as you did day or night

I kiss a tear that falls to your cheek
I know you’ve been fighting this battle
Way before we did meet
So I kiss you softly, close your eyes
My darling and sleep I know your weak

As you did close your eyes, a sigh
Escaped your lips
I knew it was your last
As I touched your lips with my finger tips
I felt the sadness in my heart
As I watched your bright loving light
Fade away forever to dark
