I was born in the luminous heavens above what is now called Florida
I came into this world riding on the back of a flying dragon made of
diamonds
I brought pure beauty onto the Earth
-And the gods blessed me

-But, it was trouble that I first discovered

I saw my mother and my father- both creatures of the heavens
I scratched my mother’s eye on the day that she birthed me
I broke my father’s leg nine days later
I punished them for what they would do to each other later in my life
I am both their pain and sacrifice
-With no fear for either

I killed the dinosaurs, the mammoths too
I melted the ice of the world and then one day I turned it to dust
I changed the climate to change the world
-And it made me happy
I am bad, so bad that not even the devil compares
-But the gods still bless me

I was three, wandering down a murky path when,
I noticed everything was dead
-The flowers were all but dust; their colors were all one lonely grey
I touched them and they were revived, more beautiful than ever before
I am divine

I acquired my first horse at the age of nine within the plains of Mongolia
-She was un-trainable but I trained her and tamed her, nevertheless
I became her master and the wildness inside of her faded away
I became wild myself
I live on within the heart of every horse

I, upon my horse one day, saw a man standing alone
-Tending to a garden of fruits and flowers, obviously taught by Demeter
I spoke to him and encouraged
-Him to follow me
I made him want, I made him crave
-That apple and me
I am Eve and I am love
-Aphrodite and Eros, all in one

I looked deep into the sky and I saw the reflection of the empty sea
-The picture painted there
I opened my little box and flooded the world with the acid in my tears
I am Pandora, created by the gods as a gift unpleasant
I made the world impure by my disposition
-Because of me it will forever be

I was there, for the great battle of Troy
-On both sides I was
I fought against and I fought for,
-As Zeus in the skies above
I left Romulus with the sword of Troy, to found Rome in the seven hills
I let him win the battle,
-He was stronger than Remus

I became a king so great, that everyone now knows my name,
-Charlemagne, father of France and Germany and on to Rome
I had many of many wives and children by those who were not
I was not faithful, but I learned, in time
-Too many children, lead to overpopulation and aggravation

I was on the Mayflower in 1620,
I sailed in with the others and started a new life with my family
I had a brother, who was not too intelligence
-He quickly irritated people of importance and was to become the first
person hung in America

I had future relatives leave Germany
-They came to America to find a better life
I married a man and we had many children
I hated him when he raped that Indian girl
I hated him when she had their child
-The child that lived on to marry a brother of mine

I and my children began the tobacco industry in America
-It was thereafter that we changed our names to “Burley”
I spoke to them and encouraged them
-And the gods blessed me
I grew plants of gold

I live on and I make the birds sing
I make the water fresh, I make it pure
I am blessed, the gods tell me so
I am mighty and I am bad, at times
I am what I am, I am me and the world runs because of me
-Because of what I have done to and for it
