On a lonley night, I found love

I sit here in the dead of night
The street lights all remain unlit
And I linger here, in the dark

I wait for the right time to come
And bring my distressed night to end
The raven finds me here alone

Speaking in a soft tone, he says
"Girl please cry not, try for me, please?"
I reply without any delay

"I cry alone in the dark night,
Because my love has flown away"
"You foolish girl, can you not see,

I am here to guide you to stand
here beside you, hold your hand
and love you like no one could."

A smile swarms across my face
A single street light flickers on
The raven flys down beside me

As I stand and begin walking
I close my eyes and a tear falls
Singly, to the dark ground below

I look down at the raven, and
thank him. He grows and stands upright
I amazed, take him by the hand

On and on we travel along
Now that we have found each other
And together we still remain

In love, in peace, in harmony
Forever will I remember
The night my true love came to me

On a cold and dark lonely street,
Dried my tears and mended my heart
And securely sealed true love within
