Lying here in bed
With all these thoughts running through my head
I wish I could finally see
What I'm truly meant to be

I always knew what I wanted to do
But now that all of this came through
And swept me right off my feet
All I can taste is the bitterness of defeat

I wish I could go back in time
To claim the things that are no longer mine
I want to go back where no one counted if you were right or wrong
So I can be the person I've wanted to be all along

Now that all these things have come to appear
It makes me want to disappear
To never again come back
So I can leave my dignity intact
