Hold On

In a moment I had no chance to run
it had taken it all away from me
there was nothing holding me there
nothing telling me what to say
It took hold for years and years
of my precious high school years
I guessed I never thought it'd last
that I'd be just like every other teen
In a moment I had every place to go
it had given me a lot of chances
there was every path to remake
but it held on through thinning ice
Never did it question us
we questioned it
Even though I had every place to go
and even more feelings to replace the old
I stood infront of your face
as we kissed in the rain and you held me
all the love I had inside my heart
was put back into your palms to stay
