Gagged on promises
much too sour to be true,
but we believed them
in the hope that there would be
a sweet sap below the
acid.

Convincing cold fronts
devoured hopes and needs
and spat the mistake
of trusting you back at us
in the form of a vile
mucus.

You took order and
poured the contents into a
mold of anarchy.
This twisted dictatorship
has spiraled into a
black hole.

With rough fingers you
tugged onto a thin thread of
civilization.
Now it’s unraveling to show
the beast laying behind
fabric.

You shoved your hated
minorities toward death
while putting your own
country in a gas chamber.
There’s no denying the
numbers.

Corruption had power
plaguing all the cities’ streets
as such horrific
experimentations swept
unpunished and un-
noticed.

Luckily you weren’t
concrete to atomic bombs.
Why don’t you fight
for your diluted cause?
You can’t because you aren’t
a man.

You’re a monster.

This is something that no throat will ever swallow.
Promise not to follow
this man who claims he’ll defeat the flood.

Because these diseased pages of history
have shown no victory
and that sweet sap was innocent blood.
