The home she came from was hopelessly broken,
without a voice of reason or faith,
but with dry eyes she pushed past walls
restricting her from her freedom.
Without support she exceeded, greatly defying the odds.
Without a shoulder to lean on, she made it through the fall.
The days dragged on through summer, as she waited for the fall;
a time when she could finally break away from being broken.
She hid her face and closed her eyes, in fear they'd find her odd,
but through her phase of awkwardness, she kept her fading faith.
As the time came about, she finally found her freedom,
and with wide eyes on her future life, she tore down another wall.
Walking through, a breeze of air followed her past the wall.
Without glancing back, she walked past; she avoided that one last fall.
In fear of losing what she gained, she cradled her newly found freedom.
For once in her life, she finally knew what it's like to not be broken.
No words were said as she finally breathed and revived her dying faith.
Since, after all, for once in her life, she made it against all odds.
Glancing up, she met a boy who didn't find her odd.
He took her hand and walked her past the non-existent wall
hoping she would follow him and praying with great faith.
She took his hand and took a step, praying she wouldn't fall
in front of a boy who, like never before, made her much less broken.
She couldn't help but to smile and enjoy this brand new freedom.
With careful acts, she made sure to not abuse her freedom.
For after all, it brought her love against all final odds.
Their loving gaze never faded, and helped her heal her broken
heart, her mending wounds, her pain. A final wall
that stood in her path was due to take its fall.
And all it took was just one boy to help her find the faith.
Everything progressed so well, she couldn't lose her faith.
She finally made it out of a life where she had no true freedom.
He was still by her side and helped her up every time she'd fall
and encouraged her to be herself, no matter how dull or odd.
She made it through the rest of her life without another wall,
without a feeling of hopelessness or being, once again, broken.
Her rising faith grew with her, but she found it very odd
that freedom could really tear down those rustic, concrete walls
and make them fall to her feet harmless, dull, and broken.
