What War Can Do

He can't let it go,

this is a war,

there are no games to be played.

Who he trust may not be the safest place

for those shadows in his closet,

all the things he's said and done

they'll haunt him for the rest of his life.

and no matter how many times he tell himself the lie

the battles replay behind those baby blue eyes,

behind the lies.

He keeps searching for the haven

to get rid of these demons, to free him.

he just wants them to leave him.

He questions the lord above

how can he let it happen?

Is this his way of taxin?

war is such a disgusting thing…

He's in grossed in his memories,

and there's a slur in his words as he sings along

to his lost companions favorite song

he just wants to leave,

with a bang he won't have to remember a thing,

he'll get to see all those he’d known

who didn’t get to go home

to those they loved so long ago.

This is what a war can do,

maybe you should remember it too.
