Behind These Eyes

Behind these eyes Of cold pretence,
There lurks a lifeless,
dark presence.
A pessimistic, morbid home.
A soul whose truth is blind.
Unknown.
Suppressed emotion
Ceased in motion.
A cursed possession,
A deadly potion.
A mixture that will scar your heart,
Destroy your soul,
Tear you apart.
The cobwebbed shell
Behind these eyes,
Behind the face,
Behind the lies,
Chokes helplessly,
the rotting corpse,
Of what once beat.
A heart so warped,
No more shall meet.
Behind these eyes Of censored cries,
A convicted spirit starts to rise.
Absorbing warmth
To claim his prize.
Dissolving love
As all hope dies,
Behind these eyes.
