What I Was Not Allowed

I want to see you for a moment
I really don't want to go.

I want to touch you for just a second
But I know I have to stay absent to free your soul.

I want to hear you whisper into my soul
Forever in my mind, it will be untouched.

Would you see me for just a moment?
I know you wouldn’t want to go.

Would you touch me for just a second?
I know it would last longer to no end.

Would you let me whisper into your ear?
My lips would softly slip near.

Would you want to give me all you have?
I know you can’t, it wouldn’t be fair.

Your eyes would pierce my soul deep within
I would never be the same again.

Your touch would release my spirit into life
With your absence left to leave me to die.

Your voice would cure every pain inside
Silence only to bring the darkness alive.

What you would give me would be enough
I can’t divide, I care too much.

I have never seen your eyes
But that I did not ever mind.

I have never touched your flesh
But I could have waited with a time.

I have never felt your breath on my ears
I would have melted as you came near.

I have never been able to show you my gifts
A wish upon you to never feel deprived.

I hope she sees into your eyes
What I wish I could have seen without time.

I hope she finds your touch overpowering
As I know it would have been empowering.

I hope she speaks with healing sounds
As I had found with your voice so profound.

I hope she will give to you
What I was not allowed.
