By candle light, life flickers
Stands still in reflection
through the broken mirror
cooling the hot passions
by which we burn

Laughter in the sun-state wonder
Glistering yet not as gold
but like the other, malicious
whispers in the dark

Fragments of hidden pain
shattered with a frosted fury
deep within one's own psyche
totally out of your control
and yet it is

run

but not too far
to get lost is death
soulless redemption marring
the lily white part of you that
you wish to give to God.

No lies in this place.
Distortions are all just a figment
of a self-critical mind.

No truth in this place.
Honesty is just the manifestation
of childlike musings.

Nothing is.. but the mirror.
It tells no truth, Nor any lies.
All is nothing in the void.

Just the sound of pattering footsteps.

Run

But not too far.
