And I know with that gun it will be silent.
I won't hear you.
I go to the box under the bed and lift the lock.
The silver shines. Gleams. 45.
I hold it in my hands. It's cold.
You're still yelling, screaming at me.
What have I done wrong?
I'll pull back the trigger and you'll go away.
I just know it will be silent.
I walk back to the room.
You stand in the middle and your face beet red
Tears in your eyes, you yell louder at me.
Tell me I'm a bastard, a liar!
You scream and you yell but no fear stands in your eyes.
You don't see the gun in my hand.
I think to pull back the trigger.
I know it will be silent.
I move closer to you.
Reach to touch your face. Feel the warmth, give you one last kiss.
My lips touch yours and I feel the tears. Taste them.
You push me away and still yell.
I raise my hand with the gun, and the barrel looks to your forehead.
You still don't stir. No fear in your eyes.
One last look, deep in your eyes.
I pull back the trigger. Hear it click.
And it goes silent.
Just like I knew it would.
But now I don't want the silence.
You're gone, but your body's still there.
It's quiet, but you're still yelling at me.
I drop the gun and move to your side.
Your hands are now cold, like ice.
Your eyes still staring at me.
Looking at me with hate,...but so much love.
I run my hands through your hair.
Still spiked, like it always was.
I pulled the trigger and it went silent.
But I drown in my thoughts knowing you're not there.
I hear your yelling and I smile.
Your voice rings in my head like it always does.
I whispered 'I love you' in your ear, and kiss your lips once more.
Still covered in tears, drenched in blood.
The gun turns around on me, and I hear the trigger click back.
Silence,...and it all goes dark.
I fall next to you.
Empty face to empty face.
You always were beautiful.
