And I was the sun as you needed to shine
you wanted the light so I gave to you mine
and I warmed you up when cold filled your heart
I brightened your outlook when your whole soul was dark
and what could the sun but do when darkness did fall?
I was looking for you but the sky blocked it all
so I tried and I cried with my flaming fury burning bright
to find my dear lover in the depths of the night
but when I rose again it was to our demise
the sunset made you forget the shine in your eyes
