Snowflake

I’m so bored in study hall as I look out the window,
O look the snow is falling,
A family of billions of snowflakes fall,
They fall from the sky ever so gently,
How I would love to be a snowflake.

I believe that I would be a little raindrop,
I’d fall so fast straight down through the clouds,
The air rushing past me growing colder,
It would mature me into a snowflake,
I’d be more graceful and shapely,
Marked different from everyone else.

You’d fall,
Fall,
Fall,
It would feel like years before you got to the bottom,
There would be so many places you could land,
But when you land you could melt away forever,
Or you could hang on for life a couple more days.

While your family and friends piled up on you,
Mother nature would change the weather and it would be your time,
You’d say your last goodbye and evaporate into the clouds,
Being born again and diving back to maturity,
You’ll never land in the same spot twice,
It looks so peaceful to be a…snowflake.
