RESTLESS ONE

Walking the halls I think to myself
What stems from deep within this soul
That restless one where no peace dwells
Confined to prison of no control

No joy
No peace
No place to be
With eyes that baffles me
For within these windows to his soul
A voice cries out “please set me free”

A heart that longs for utmost joy
But knows not where to turn
Confused by pain embedded deep
Wishing for someone to be concern

Out he trots to bring discord
Tearing down without remorse
Reputations, values all shred to pieces
A fire burns along his course

Behind clenched teeth the terror rages
He plots his devious games
Of crushing spirits by ruthless devices
He wipes his feet from the burning flames

No sympathy
No cares
For those he hurts
Along destruction roads
A storm that knows no boundaries
Debris which lies from one explodes!

With fiery darts he leaves his prey
A victim of his venomous stings
His day is filled with endless tasks
Of fighting demons on broken wings

Look closer now at his demeanor
To find an answer to relate
He hides his face behind a mask
Of which no one can penetrate

Behind these walls so greatly built
of deceptions, lies adversities
I see a child who never grew
Trapped by Satan’s festered disease


Please take my hand I’ll be your friend
No need to hold it all inside
Let go! Let God renew your walk
For this cause my friend he bled and died

How long shall you labor with grief dear one?
How long shall you carry this pain?
There’s one who knows you very well
Who longs for fellowship once again

He’ll replace your doubts of uncertainty
He’ll give you peace when storms arise
He’ll calm that raging sea within
He’ll remove that fear of Satan’s lies

Come now, rejoice! For there is hope
Come now, repent! Let love increase
Come now, rejoice! be not afraid
Rest now! My friend in eternal peace
