I’ll be there when you call
And I’ll be there when you’re ready

But for now the pain is too strong
My heart is broken and unsteady

Your lies hurt more than before
And now your words are empty

I’ll carry on with this grudge
Resisting desires that tempt me

Even with all the sour results
I’ll never regret that night

It’s proof that my scars are real
And at one time, things felt right

I’ll suffer in silence for all
That you have done

I’ll hold sacred forever the hour
When two loves became one

But still I’ll be left with this aching
Wondering what lies in you

How a close friend could use me
Confuse me, and not bleed too

How every night of bonding
And building this…

Would end with words unspoken,
And millions of a meaningless kiss
