Burned

Cold and empty on the floor,

Left me needing so much more.

Dirty towel wrapped round the wound.

Send me to an early tomb.

At first we were like a blazing star.

That didn't get us very far.

I was like a moth to the flame.

Flew too close and I was burned.

There is no one to blame.

Singed romance never returned.

we can never be friends.

This is the end.

Broken, bruised knocking at your door.

Left me wanting so much more.

Nothing left but a scar.

Send me crawling back to the bar.

Scorched,

It seems this soot stained heart

Will never get a fresh start.
