I’ve always been good with words,
But now they all are fading.
How do you describe foolish pride?
While your heart is still breaking?
We’ve come so far along, yet
We’re worse than before.
I try to keep my head up, but
I cannot do this anymore.
The broken promises and empty lies
Just leave me struck in awe.
Am I weak or am I strong for
Sticking around so long?

You do not notice when I am missing.
And you do not care when I’m with you.
I just keep picturing you and her kissing.
I wish I knew what to say and do.

‘Cause I remember the nights
When you held me tight
And lay me down to sleep.
When the sun came up, we
Would finally drift away in peace.

But now we don’t talk on the telephone,
And it’s never just you and I.
I miss the friends we used to be,
And hearing how you feel inside.

Baby, I notice when you are missing.
And I care when I’m with you.
But I keep picturing you and her kissing.
Forgive me for loving you.
