A Dream Come True

I sit and gaze at the starlit sky,
Lying on the deserted beach,
Feeling the tide go by and by,
Waiting for sun to breech.

As I ponder upon the day,
I feel a hand in mine,
All is calm from where I lay,
And moonlight begins to shine.

As I lay there on the sand,
She gives me a kiss,
And squeezes my hand,
Now my life is bliss.

I pulled her near,
And held her tight,
She had nothing to fear,
Not this night.

I can feel the gusts,
They were cool not cold,
Flowing with the land it lusts,
Sweeping by so bold.

I could stay here forever,
Forever in her hold,
I will leave never,
My heart is sold.

We watched the sun rise slowly,
So beautiful and defiant,
It all seemed so holy,
Something to be reliant.

She laid her head upon my chest,
Breathing softly and sighing,
I feel like a bird in a nest,
On my first time flying.

I love the way she makes me feel,
As I wake the next day,
I realize it wasn’t real,
It had all gone away.

I go and climb upon the bus,
And I see the girl in my dreams,
Their is a purpose for us
Nothing is ever what it seems.
