Surrender

The tide is coming in faster and faster
It's up to my waist, getting higher and higher
I can see her in the window from a distance
She's laughing at me
I have failed,
And she wants the whole world to see.

My legs are tied with shackles
That way I cannot escape
The tide is closing in on me
She's coming to me
To point out that I have failed,
And she'll make the whole world see.

The water is up to my shoulders
You can start to see the fear in my eyes
I can see her smiling,
She's smiling from satisfactory
I have failed again,
And she's anxious to let the whole world see.

It's up passed my mouth
I'm struggling to breathe
But these shackles hold me down
Her smile grows bigger, although in her eyes there's some worry
I've failed, I've failed,
And the whole world is going to see.

I'm all the way under
My eyes begin to grow tired
I take one last look up at the blurry surface
And she shakes away the worry in her eyes
I'm wondering now, is there a God in the sky?
Because if there was, maybe this girl wouldn't have had to die

And the whole world watches
As I give in
And surrender
I surrender.
