Flashback
The warmth of last summer
The sun beating down on our faces
We lay in the damp grass laughing
Laughing at something I cant remember
You turn to me with a smile brighter than the sun itself
Pulling me into your warm and gentle embrace
Your scent intoxicates me and still lingers to this day
You softly kiss my forehead and make your way to my lips
I can still feel the butterflies in my stomach and the fire ignite in my
heart
You whisper softly into my ear while running your fingers through my hair
I still feel the chills it sent down my spine
“I’ll Love You Forever and Not A Day Less”
Forever must have ended at least for you
For I still truly love you with every piece of my broken heart
