I bring my wounds here,
Write my way out of grief
Leaving you forever on paper,
Breathing a sigh of relief

Each letter, phrase and word
Spills out in poetic verse,
Each moment, thought and hurt
Can finally be dispersed.

These are healing words
Although they may cry out,
Peaceful and serene words
Even if they seem to shout.

This is my purging of pain
And not the building of sorrow,
Through this my strength I regain
Stepping into the light of tomorrow.
