Rainbow waters
Polka dotted trees
Lets not do
That whole dr. Seuss thing please
The smile on her face
Grew as wide as
The latitude of
His laugh lines
Life is a miraculous thing
That should not be
Wasted
They loved forever
Not just for the waking moment
What a serene sight
Hands clasped tight
Plunging into
The water that night
Their farewell
Was such sweet sorrow
Young one don’t be sad
They are not gone
Their place is
Not in the real world
Imagination is their playground
Your mind is their world
We must part until tomorrow
Leave them be
In the pages of
Your story book.
