See beyond the label,
See beyond the hair,
Can't you find it in yourself
to act like you might care.

Look beyond the image,
Look beyond the face,
Try and see that not everything
has to be for your taste.

See further than the clothes,
See further than the friends,
You might actually realize
they're not as bad as they seem.

Look past their beliefs,
Look past their opinions,
You never know what you'll find
maybe even a new friend.

It's not all about the looks
or the group someone slips into.
So why can't you even try
to dispel the boundaries between you two.

It's nothing more than superficial
something that will fade.
As time becomes a factor in life
you'll see that things will change.

People you used to love, will leave.
Things you used to treasure, will break.
So forget about your high school perceptions
and see beyond the labels.
