Broken Soul

The water may look calm on the surface
But as soon as you peer underneath
You see it is as rough as ever
When you look at her face
You see a pretty girl
When you look at her eyes
You see serenity
When you kiss her
You feel an utmost connection
When you hear her speak
You hear words of wisdom and love
But as soon as you look deep to her soul
You see how it is beaten up
Torn cut and bleeding
A broken soul that only she can mend
She needs your help to stay away
From the temptations that tear her
You need to take her hand
And lead her out of the dark tunnel
That she has gotten herself stuck in
Then you need to chase her
When she runs away from confrontment
She needs to battle the beast
That is tearing at her soul
Head on and tame that lion
That is digging its claws
In her soul deeper with every second
She needs to cure herself of the inner hatred
She needs to kill the infestation
The plague and the infection
That is eating away her soul
Leave her lying in the sand
With her head in her hands
So she can begin the long
Treacherous journey
Of repairing a broken soul.
