In the Wind

It happens suddenly,
And unexpected at times,
Even though you knew it was coming all along.

One day you just wake up,
And you realize it.
It’s different today.

The world has changed over night,
Has become more in tune with the simplest senses,
As simple pleasures
and innocent kindness
seems to have taken affect.

The world is changing...
For no reason except for the fact
It is time to.

The sense of summer is still here,
With its innocent fun
And the freedom of content
in the way the sun plays through the trees
on to your youthful inner child.

But the wind is what is different
Something is coming...
Some type of change is on its way.

As the horses leap in the frisky air,
And the crickets slowly become quiet at night.
Fireflies no longer play in the long grass.
And the nights get a bit chillier,
But the sky becomes more clear.

The stars begin to rotate,
To give the world a new view.
So even the night is different.
But it isn’t because of these things that you know.
You know… because you know.
You can feel it.
An intuition;
Some type of 6th sense.

It’s all in the wind.
