I’ve been picked apart by choices and tears
I’ve been covered in rivers but I’m still here
I’ve buried my pride in sickness and truce
I’ve shaken imbalance until it was loose

I’ve spoken the words to users of shame
I’ve blamed those of sorrow for all I could blame
I’ve built upon mountains my runaway parks
I’ve been stuck here nameless between every mark

I’ve screamed out songs to blind those from hate
I’ve wondered under trees with the brightest shade
I’ve scribbled out letters to those in hidden fear
I’ve been picked apart shamelessly by choices and tears

You’ve told me stories to blot out my race
You’ve hidden the secrets that scolded my pace
You’ve won with intensity this trophy of name
You’ve been given the false chance to return your fame

You’ve spent days within a blackened luck cell
You’ve betrayed others and you’ve done it well
You’ve stroke the skin of speed bumps and pain
You’ve been given the chance to shake off this name

She has brought between us the wondrous truth
She has given such sight into what’s become you
She has broken the path to which was to disaster
She has steered you away from what I was after

I’ve been taken back and I’m soundlessly sleeping
I’ve been having these dreams of colorful reaping
I’ve seen such decision with brought back my life
I’ve been given this chance to reclaim the light
