Today I start living

Giving up on forgetting

My mistakes won't break me



Can't take back yesterday

I wouldn't anyway

My memories make me



Try to bring me down

I've been lower than the ground

But I will rise again



Don't have to be forgiven

Just to keep on living

I'll forgive my own sin



Letting go of sorrow

So I can see tomorrow

And believe in all things new



Letting go of pain

I have more to gain

I know this to be true



These scars will fade

But here I'll stay

I won't fade with them



At any length

I'll find new strength

I will not be condemned
