So this is what it's like
To feel something that no one understands.
I'll scream as loud as I can.
Until I'm spitting blood,
But I'm just talking to myself again.
The pressure is getting to me.
Though it keeps me up at night,
I still believe in dreams.
I still believe in dreams.
Through these dreams,
And worn out seams,
I'm breaking.
I'm breaking out of this.
I'll find my chance to shine this time.
I'm leaving.
I'm leaving everything behind.
This noose is coming undone.
Breathing is getting easier.
I can see the future.
Open roads, phone calls home to you.
Don't ask me if I'll miss you,
Because you know I'm always honest.
Don't search for answers you don't want to hear.
The pressure is getting to me.
Though it keeps me up at night,
I'll find my time to sleep.
I'll find my time to sleep.
This town has left me nothing but broken bones
And past friends names engraved in stone.
When teenage boys end their lives,
Single handedly, something's just not right.
We pray for rainy days
To wash all our past mistakes away.
The only ones who don't believe
Are the ones that never learned to breathe.
Now I can breathe.
Don't ask me if I'll miss you,
Because you know I'm always honest.
Don't search for answers you don't want to hear.
I'm learning you can't live
Until you've killed the enemies in your head.
Leave them for dead.
I'll send a picture from California
So you can see my smile for the first time.
This is what I need.
My life has just begun
