It's Destiny

Lock me in the closet far in the corner.
Turn off the light; don’t crack the door.
I’ll be able to breathe—somehow.
Worry not; as I wont make a peep.

They’ll never know our secret
Our hidden love affair is
Forevermore in the shadows,
And locked within a chest.

Can’t you hear the knocking?
The beating on that coffin
Which you’ve locked me in
Nailed shut with lies.

Just keep living in your delusion,
Pretending that it’s not true.
You don’t have to love me—
Just as I don’t have to love you.

Our paths are entwined
And fate welded us together,
Go ahead and fight destiny.
I’d like to see you try.

Love is undying, unlike the flesh
We won’t turn into dust and ash.
Please don’t hide us now…
Eternity is much too long.
