Goddess of Twisted Dreams

When nothing else is there,
I can surround myself
With a blanket of Protection.
It slowly envelopes me,
And wraps me in it's safety

In the darkness,
My heart beats loudly,
My lips part to give
It's precious soul
Bit by bit,
To my Goddess of Dreams

Slowly, it's a poison
Dreaming takes over all;
The world can't hold me,
Not anymore,
Not when I'm so close...

And Bit by bit I'm consumed...
Slowly, the agony rips through me
Sweet Goddess...
Hold me safely again...

The present slips by,
In the Darkness I'm held
By tiny strings which are cut
One by One...

Falling, naked,
Into a pool of glass
Bleeding, screaming,
Oh my Goddess...
My Cruel Mistress...

And I awaken to
A world that's even worse
A slower poison
Than the First...

Oh my Goddess
