Broken Hands

Broken hands, and a broken heart
Lying here in the darkness where you left me
Where you’ve left me, you forget me
Now-
But I won’t forget
These scars on my soul, they won’t let me forget
The way you made me feel inside, hurt inside, yearn inside
The way your touch left me bruised and bleeding
Wounded and needing-
I needed the pain, the pain that you gave me
I loved being the little slave that you made me
A slave who’d do anything just for your touch
Just for that insignificant, momentary rush
When I was all that you saw-
But now, I am nothing
To you, I am nothing
Thrown to the ground like a broken toy
Left in the darkness, alone and helpless
Where you’ve left me
You forget me
