shadows melt into the past
twisting this truth we know
apologies whispered but barely heard
fading hearts
lost in this tunnel
no where to turn
your tears surround me
drowning me
helplessly I fall
my one wrong turn haunting me again
burning through me
like torrid ice
breathing seems foreign
as i stumble to catch my breath
like a firefly in a jar
further i fall
the black abyss
blurry vision
grasping hopes of heavens gates
fall quietly
let your dying light
be your guide
silence falls
and all is peaceful
yet your body decays
with not even a shadow
to whisper the tune of a
forgotten goodbye
