He Gave Me a Motorcycle for Valentines Day

He gave me a motorcycle for Valentines Day
Not the chocolate or gifts you hear in a card
But tears flooded my eyes not knowing what to say
Because it spoke volumes on two hearts scarred

It sung of loyalty, it whispered of secret trust
It was a chapter on friendship pushed to extremes
It was an epic of kindred souls in the dust
Backed in corners while on each other they leaned

Two spirits tested and tried by the fire
While being surrounded by the misery of liars
So these brief moments away from the din
Mean more than a lifetime of perjured sin

It was a promise of easier times
Getting past the current pain and trials
It was a bending of our hearts' parallel lines
A symbol of a merging of our future miles.
