Aren't you tired by now
Trying to live my life and be my age
I see the wrinkles showing up around your eyes
I hear your labored breathing in the night
I thought you would have given up by now
But you're still here somehow
You listen to my music
But you don't get the meaning
You laugh with my friends
But you don't get the jokes
You smoke my cigarettes
But they only make you choke
They think you're my father
I make the excuses and tell the lies
But I'm tired, it's getting old
Like you
It's getting awkward, but maybe not for you
How can I say I've outgrown you
When you're older than me?
Maybe it's time to say goodbye
Maybe it's time to say we're just friends
Maybe it's time to say it's the end.
